Six months later, she was able to audition for be a part of Prime Suspect 4's Inner Circle. The show was aired on ITV 7 May 1995. She appeared in an episode of "Bramwell" which was a period drama television series, starring in the role of Kathleen Le Saux, a troubled young wife. Six years later, she was again with Helen Mirren in Last Orders. She collaborated with Terry Johnson on four productions that included Elton John's Glasses (1997), The London Cuckolds (1998), The Graduate (2000) and Piano/Forte (2006). Johnson wrote Piano/Forte, and she said she thought Kelly was "possibly the most natural, dyed-in-thewool deep-inthe-bone actor I've worked with". Reilly stated that Karel Reisz was the one who taught her how to act best. He directed her in The Yalta Game, Dublin 2001. She said, "He was my masterclass." If I hadn't been able to see that show, it would've been impossible for me to become Miss Julie.
